Windows i cp6 na dva razlicita hard diska?
Imam 3 hard diska u racunaru, na jednom je instaliran WinXP (2 particije - jedna za sistem, druga za podatke) drugi takodje ima 2 particije i korisim ga samo za podatke a na treci sam planirao da instaliram cp6.
Ono sto zelim je da imam ciste instalacije windowsa na jednom a cp6 na drugom i da u BIOS-u preko opcije za biranje pvog boot uredjaja odredjujem koji sistem ce da se startuje. Na taj nacin ne bih morao da objasnjavam drugim korisnicima mog racunara sta je to sto se pojavljuje prilikom ukljucivanja (boot loader), zasto se pojavljuje i sta treba da urade. Zelim da podizanje windowsa ostane jednostavno kao i do sada i da se novi cp6 sistem ne pojavljuje dok ja u BIOS-u ne postavim disk sa cp6 kao prvi boot uredjaj.
Pre instalacije sam fizicki iskljucio druga 2 hard diska kako bih zastitio windows sistem. Pokrenuo sam instalaciju sa live DVD isao na rucno particionisanje. Postavio sam ext3 particiju od 7 GB (\) i swap particiju od 2 GB a ostatak harda sam ostavio na NTFS.
Nakon instalacije pokrenuo se cp6 bez problema i onda sam iskljucio racunar i prikacio ostala 2 harda. Pri podizanju sistema grub je prijavio gresku (nisam upamtio tacno koju) i nije krenuo sa dizanjem cp6 ali sam to relativno jednostavno resio izmenom jedne linije (postavio sam hd 1,0 umesto 0,0) pretpostavljajuci da sada ukljuceni hard diskovi ometaju podizanje (hard sa cp6 je sec.slave dok su druga 2 prim. master i slave). Nakon toga cp6 se uspesno pokrenuo.
Sada krecu problemi. Ponovo sam restartovao sistem i u BIOS-u postavio disk sa winXP za pvi boot uredjaj. Pri podizanju sistema ispise se grub error 15. Ponovo sam iskljucio racunar i ovaj put fizicki iskljucio hard sa cp6 ali pri podizanju sistema ponovu grub error 15. Ono sto mi nije jasno - otkud grub na tom hardu koji nije ni bio ukljucen za vreme instalacije cp6.
Pokusao sam i instalaciju cp6 sa svim hard diskovima ukljucenim, tada bi pri podizanju sistema dobio boot loader sa winxp kao poslednjom opcijom ali izborom te opcije dobijam grub error 13. Jednom prilikom dobio sam i grub error 21 ali ne secam se tacno sta sam tada radio.
Da bih osposobio racunar (posto na cp6 nisam uspeo da se povezem na internet pa tako ni da trazim pomoc) morao sam ne samo da formatiram particiju sa winXP (i tada se pojavljivala grub 15 greska) vec da sa winxp boot diskom obrisem tu particiju i ponovo je kreiram a zatim da vratim winxp na nju. Srecom koristim ghost pa vracanje sistema traje 20-ak minuta inace bi ovo bila prava katastrofa.
Mnogo me je razocaralo ovakvo "ponasanje" linuxa, da ubaci boot loader na disk koji zelim da ostavim netaknut, to bih mogao ocekivati od windowsa ali sam se nadao da cu u linuxu imati vecu kontrolu.
Da li je uopste moguce ono sto ja zelim da uradim ili ce mi cp6 svaki put ubacivati boot loader na win disk sto za mene nije prihvatljivo resenje)

Found your communication dynamics very valuable. I'm currently teaching two introductory college classes. Each one has half the students using blogs, the other half using wiki's. So far, I think the wiki's are more helpful for the students. But I didn't know about the aggregator application. To što si ti uradio da ostaviš samo hard na kojem instaliraš Linux vuče kao posledicu da moraš prilikom butovanja da ideš sa F8 pa da izabereš sa kojeg diska hoćes da butuje.
Kad su ti prikačeni svi diskovi popstupak instalacije je da prvo instaliraš Win pa onda Linux i možeš da biraš OS za butovanje.
To je ako sam dobro razumeo problem.
Naravno poznato ti je da bi na svakom disku trebalo da imaš jednu aktivnu particiju.

Moj problem je to sto je cp6
Moj problem je to sto je cp6 ubacio GRUB na disk sa winXP.
Problem je sada resen, prespojio sam diskove tako da je cp6 disk prim.master a disk sa winXP i treci disk su na secondary. Ponovo sam instalirao cp6 i sada radi onako kako sam zamislio. Jos jedno RAZOCARANJE - win ispade fleksibilniji od linuxa, ne zahteva da bude prim.master da bi se pokrenuo, radice na bilo kojoj poziciji ako se u BIOS-u podesi kao prvi boot uredjaj. Ipak ne odustajem od cp6, siguran sam da cu savladati pocetne prepreke i na kraju imati mnogo stabilniji sistem nego sa winXP.

Ok cini mi se da znam odgovor ali....
Vidis, po "default" cp6 je koliko vidim bukvalno preveden ubuntu, na zalost. Sam ubuntu a time i cp6 ne daje izbora instalacije GRUB-a nego ga odmah "spici" na ili u MBR (master boot record) sto je sami pocetak prvog master HD-a.
Znaci dok ubuntu to ne sredi nece ni cp6. I sam "podizem" Win, SUSE, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, CP6 znaci multiboot. Jedino rjesenje koje ja vidim je da se okrenes na openSUSE jer on te pita gdje da instalira GRUB tj. citav linuks zajedno sa GRUB-om instaliras na jedan a Win na fizicki drugi HD. Po mome tada bi radilo to sto si zamislio, jer bi imao Win boot loader na jednom a GRUB na drugom HD. Tada ostaje samo da kazes BIOS-u gdje prvo da gleda.
Druga opcija je da malo korigujes menu.lst da ucitava WIN po "default"-u i odredis "timeout" na sekund ili dva tako da ti drugi korisnici ne bi ni primjetili sta se desava a WIN bi se vec podizao (mala opticka varka :) )
